Sriti Jha aka Pragya’s character to have a massive transformation in Kumkum Bhagya

We have seen Sriti Jha essay the role of Pragya in Zee’s popular show Kumkum Bhagya for more than 7 years now. She has been synonymous with simplicity and poise all throughout this while. But now her character is all set to witness a change which is vey dramatic. As reported earlier, the show is set to go in for a time leap. In a candid chat with the actress, Sriti talked about how comfortable she was with the time leap. She said “Having explored the simple, unassuming, caring aspects of Pragya’s persona for seven years, I now move into showcasing a more stylish, confident, self-assured dimension and that’s truly exciting for me as an artiste,” said Sriti.

Talking about Pragya’s transformation on the show, she said, “The viewers will see my character turn into a powerful corporate professional at a multinational company in another country. I look forward to approaching the character from a new perspective and hope to do it well. What’s interesting is that while she seems to be the boss lady in control to the world outside, she is deeply anguished on the inside, with her eyes giving away her pain at times.”

Given that the show has gone on for years, did she at any point want to quit, given the monotony?

She answers, “Not really because the team is so good that going to work is like going to family. I love meeting these amazing set of people everyday. People have left and new people have joined but shooting with everyone is so fun. I feel like going back again and again to work. It might be over too one day but I want to make the most of it till it lasts.”

On the personal front Sriti has always preferred to keep a low profile and she rarely speaks about her life. Ask her what the real Sriti is like and she says, “Oh dear…I don’t know! Probably that is why I maintain a low profile. I haven’t figured out myself who the real Sriti is. Nobody has figured that out maybe because we are constantly growing and evolving. I was someone, now I am someone else and I hope to become a more evolved person in the future.”

    Could this be the return of Kiara? She never said anything about continuing as Pragya. Also, she never hinted at memory loss.

      They said her character will change so therefore it is her not kiara. Either way it’s all bullshit

    Again separation hope that Prachi also go with Pragya otherwise the Mehera’s will make her life he’ll……and Abhi he is blaming Pragya for his marriage even he was also excited for marrying Pragya why can’t ye check that the bride is Pragya or not always all mistakes are of Pragya only but hope Pragya and Prachi be together in speration…

    Guys not only Pragya even Rhea’s character has a change . Pooja Banerjee said this in an interview.I think mostly everyone’s character has a change.

    The writers of this show don’t have the ability to construct a fiction coherent in time, cause-effect relation, strongly obeying to the rules of laws and logic praising the positive values of humanity. They used to create a criminal mess and produced a stupid result through a so called resolution neglecting the reality of the case known by all the audiences.
    It seems that the same stupidity will go on. Pragya and Abhi are now in their sixties, how a poor woman of 65 years old will change into an international bussines person? Baseless.

      Abhi and Pragya are in their sixties. How do you know that if the characters are fictional then is the age also fictional.
      And seriously why can’t a woman in her sixties be a businesswoman?
      And what is worse about the photo?

      According to the story, when Pragya got married she was 28 + about 5 year they lived together + 7 year of separation + at least 1 year strugling to reunite + 1 year after reunion + 20 years of separation + 4 years of twins collage life = 66

      where is written that she was 28 years, I can not find anything about it.
      And according to the story Tanu was pregnant for almost 2 years.
      So according to our calculation are all over 60 years but here matters the EK calendar and there they are not so old.

      Meli Singh It should be one of the old episodes. But it doesn’t matter everyone can calculate the average age of this character. According to the story Pragya has 1 BS and 2 MS diplomas and she worked for at least 2 years Let’s calculate her age by assummig she entered to the university at the age of 18

      Pragya’s Age when she got marry = 18 + 4 (BS) + 2 (MS in phylosopy) + 1 (MS pedogoly) + 2 ( working) = 27. :))) Have fun Meli

    Pragya was 29 years old, Abhi was 31 years old. This was shown in the compilation of their horoscopes.

    Is this a real change or an act like she did years ago when she pretended to be in charge of Abhi’s money and house, etc. She went around very confident, dressing smartly, bossy etc but it was an act. Leave it to the producers to repeat the same old stories.
