Jannat Zubair, who is not just a TV actress but also a social media star is known for her role in TV shows like Phulwa and Bharat Ka Veer Putra- Maharana Pratap. She has also featured in music videos. Post her TV show Tu Aashiqui she has been missing from the silver screen. The show ended in 2018. In a recent interview with BT, Jannat opened up on her reasons for taking break from TV. She shared, “In one of the press conferences of Tu Aashiqui, I had said that this was my last TV show and I wouldn’t be taking up any other projects. I have taken a break from TV which is a much needed one for me. Since childhood I have been doing TV shows and I needed to break that monotony.”
Elaborating further on her decision, she says, “Working for a TV show is not easy as it seems. Right from erratic schedules to hours of shoot, you don’t even get a minute for yourself. I wanted to do other things and also spend time with my family. I am happy in this space right now because I am getting to explore a lot of things and I am able to focus on myself as well.”
So when does she plan to ever return to the silver screen? “I can never get bored of acting, but right not it is a break for me and honestly, I don’t know how long this will continue,” she says.
Jannat is currently in Dubai and shares, “Ramzan in Dubai is a different experience altogether. We were once going somewhere and during the time of Iftar someone stopped our car and gave us food for our Iftar. It was so heart-touching and I can never forget how warm the vibes of the person was who was doing it for the people,” she signs off.
