Colors’ show Bahu Begum starring Arjit Taneja, Samiksha Jaiswal and Dianaa Khan had a great start and the makers expected that the show will go on with great popularity for atleast a year and a half. But just six months down the line, the grapevines are abuzz that the show will now be pulled off air.
The show is a romantic drama and revolves around the lives of Azaan Akhtar Mirza, Shayra Sayyed and Noor Qyereshi, who are stuck in their marriage and are facing many struggles due to their mis understandings. The head honchos bring in many twists and turns but the storyline isn’t enticing enough for the audience to be hooked on to their tv screens.
There were several speculations doing the rounds about the show going off air due to dropping ratings, apparently the news is confirmed now. A source related to the show has informed Bombay Times that the makers had expected a successful run for at least a year and a half and initially the ratings were good too, however they have slipped in recent times. A confirm date for the show to go off air hasn’t been announced yet but as per the reports, the show will be pulled off in the first half of January.
Earlier there was news that there will be a five year leap in the show but all the efforts to bring back the ratings have gone to waste.

Too many twists, crackling chemistry, three leads, handsome Arijit, talented Diane and Samiksha, nice screenplay, direction and cinematography, well layered characters but the storyline is poor and pathetic. So, it deserves off air. But anyways Jhansi Ki Rani is far better than this mega budget show
9.30 PM is the most competitive prime time slot of ITV. Colors had many successful shows like Swaragini, Ek Shringar Swabhiman, Laado 2 and average shows like Bepannah and JKR. These are loved because of its family based strong content. When, Colors lost its viewership in 9.30PM (During Bepannah), all rubbish shows occupied this slot. Colors should come with family based show at this slot.
Arjit looks best with Mrunal only. Thats why show is going off air. Rubbish show

I hate fat noor and that other one… it had so talented actors like Alka Kaushal, Amrapali Gupta and having Arjit Taneja as main lead is such a bonus!! Yet these writers and directors took it lightly with writing rubbish storyline along with choosing terrible actresses who don’t suit Arjit. By now, Mr Taneja should be making hit movies with Mrunal Thakur, his KKM co-actor ( Bulbul from kumkum bhagya) If Mrunal was in this show she would have made it a big hit, rather than a super flop. I’m so dissappointed with arjit for selecting such a show “Bahu begum” ? ? ? ? ? ? I prefered him as a obsessed lover ‘Purab’ who would do anything for Bulbul and her family. Not a stupid ‘prince’??????… who gives into villains easily and distrusts his wife. When I came to know that arjit was in this stup bahu begum, I watched 1 episode like 10 weeks ago or something and knew right from then that this show was going to shut down. Well even though Arjit is in it!! So bye-bye “bahu begum” you had to go. ?
