The sets of our television shows are prone to mishaps. Many a times we hear the news of massive fires on the setswhich to loss of money and pose a great threat to the lives too. Considering the same, producer Ranjan Shahi conducted fire drills on the sets of both of his shows Yeh Rishtey Hai Pyaar Ke and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
The entire cast and crew were a part of the drill and learnt all the ins and outs of saving themselves if a fire happens. In an interaction, Shahi shared,“Basically, it’s very important that unwarranted and unexpected emergencies and fatalities are handled well. Anything can happen with the best of conditions. It’s important that every unit member should be educated and should know that in case of an unfortunate or unexpected situation, how they should react and take steps. I think educating the unit is the most important thing and the safety of the unit also depends on the unit by itself. So, the unit has to actively take part. I am very happy that Kartik and Naira, Abir and Mishti and all the other actors took an active part and keen interest not only to educate themselves but the entire unit.”
