The Episode starts with Anarkali thinking of Salim and smiling. She loses focus on work. Husna asks why are you smiling, tell me the truth. Anarkali makes work excuse and goes. Mahabat looks for Salim. Salim says I m here. He looks happy. Mahabat asks what’s the matter, you refused to have wine. Salim says I m already intoxicated. Mahabat asks are you fine. Salim says yes, I will get ready now. Salim and Anarkali get happy. Salim greets the guards happily. Jodha asks Anarkali to prepare garlands for puja. Anarkali agrees. Salim comes and asks are you upset with me mum. He asks Anarkali is mum upset with me. He says decorate Kanha ji well, only then he will enter Radha’s heart. Jodha asks him about the fire. Salim says that won’t be blown off ever now. Jodha looks at him.
Salim says I mean to say, this won’t happen again. Jodha says you have risked yours and Anarkali’s life as well. He says I will make you and Akbar proud. He teases Anarkali and asks her to say what happened there yesterday. Jodha says you are naughty like Kanha, I m happy seeing you happy, you sometimes get happy and sometimes sad. She goes. Salim says I also don’t understand what happened to me. He stops Anarkali and gives her a letter. She refuses to take. Jodha turns. Garlands and letter falls. Salim coughs. Jodha says I will get water. She gives a glass of water to Salim. Anarkali tries to get the letter. Salim says I will practice sword fight with Mahabat, and then I want to go to market, will you like to come. Jodha says I m glad seeing you happy. He goes. Jodha prays for his happiness. Anarkali dances and reads the letter. A lady asks her welfare.
Anarkali says I m fine, I m going to Khala’s room. She reads letter. Salim writes, I will be waiting for you in the market, I will see if you will come to meet me, its our first letter of love. Akbar says you want me to declare Salim as King, but how, he has no sense of responsibility, Salim is so ill mannered and proud, I want him to become King, if he can’t manage this, I have to think whom to make King, if Salim becomes a better King than me, I will be most lucky man, Salim did the limit and burnt his camp. Ammijaan says I agree Salim is irresponsible as he is not given any responsibility, you have punished him and seen the result, just give him responsibility and see. He agrees and says I will keep a watch on his capabilities. She thanks him.
Anarkali comes to market to meet Salim. Some bad goons rob a vendor. Anarkali thinks where is Salim. The goons tease her. She asks them not to touch her. Salim comes and asks what’s happening here. Goon says we are the king of this market. Anarkali goes away and smiles seeing Salim. Goons take knives. They hear people calling him Salim. Goons run away. The men thank Salim for saving them from robbers. The lady says the robbers torture us. Salim says don’t worry, they have to pay a price for this. Salim sees Anarkali. People chant his name.
