The magic of love, part 22

Suhani went to Soumya, who was resting. Suhani came and sit besides her. She had a mirror in her hand. Soumya smiled slightly seeing her. Suhani acted like closely watching the mirror.

Suh: there should be something terribly wrong with my face, because you turn dull whenever you look at me.

Soumya was shocked to hear this.

Sou: N, no, Suhani there, there is nothing like that.

Suh: Then something is wrong with my character or behaviour, maybe that’s why you never talked with me, that we didn’t mingle with each other.

Sou: never, (taking a long breath, hiding her emotions) Suhani, what happened to you, I mean, why you are saying all these, there is anything as you think!

Suhani turned upset.

Suh: Well, if you don’t want to share it, then it is fine, I won’t force you, tomorrow would be my last day here, so I thought that we could clear this mess….. Any way it is fine, you carry on, bye.

Suhani got up and started to leave, Soumya held her hand.

Sou: I am sorry.

Suhani looked on.

Sou: It was never your fault Suhani, there is no problem with your face or behaviour or character or anything. Problem is with me. I………I am, (sounding childish) I am jealous of you!

Suh: (surprised) what?

Sou: Yes, the way you handle everything, I can never do it. You know how to manage people, how to look after things, not things, but everything!

Suh: (faking shock) Means, you are eying me, God! Gone, everything is over, why did you do this, you know, actually I am not an expert in all these, but it was only these, which I could do without much trouble, but now!!

Suhani appeared funny and Soumya smiled hearing her, seeing her Suhani too smiled.

Suh: i have an idea by which you can get rid of this jealousy.

Soumya looked on.

Suh: We get jealous on strangers, not on dear ones, so friends?

Suhani forwarded her hand. Soumya looked at her; she was emotional by then and shook hands with her. Suhani happily hugged her. From then, she too joined Suhani and Bhavna in managing things.

Night:

Yuvraj was awake; he was worried thinking of Gauri, she is to start a new phase of her life. Also thinking about Suhani’s would be decision when he confesses. He decides to confess after the engagement. He was walking to and fro and saw Suhani standing outside, near the fountain. He went to her.

Yuv: (from behind) I was awake thinking of Gauri, and you?

Suhani was shocked by the sudden interference and turned back.

Suh: You!! You sacred me.

He smiles.

Yuv: in no mood o sleep?

Suh: Not at all sleepy,

Yuv: Why?

Suh: I am so happy, after my parents’ death, it is the first time I am getting these much love and care. It, it feels so good….

He smiles.

Yuv: So you are going to stay here till dawn?

Suh: Of course not, I want to do something, actually I was thinking of waking you up, because I need your help.

Yuv: ok.

She tells him something.

Yuv: Wow, now that is AMAZING!

She smiles. They discuss for some time and then went back.

Next day:

Suhani, Bhavna and Soumya were all very busy due to the function and made sure everyone, including the family relax and enjoy the function. They breathed again normally only by the end of the function. The guests were all very leased and left after the function. It was only family now.

Everyone praised the girls, their talent in organizing.

Night:

Yuvani made the whole family assemble in the hall.

Yuv: This is a small gift to Gauri from two of us, not just for Gauri, but for everyone.

Suhani was all set to do a sand art show, and Yuvraj to sing.

He started to sing Gauri’s favourite melodies. Here, Suhani was drawing, no, visualising Gauri’s life through her drawings, starting from her birth. She started with the picture of a baby girl in her mother’s arm. Then a little older girl, playing with her brothers, then a small girl laughing with her Dadi. She showed Gauri’s attachment with every family member, like it was Dadi who always made her ready for school, she drew that. Anuj teaching her cycling, her playing caroms with Yuvraj and Sharad, Saurab helping her in home work. Her helping her Bhabhis in household chores, going for shopping and so on.

Finally she drew the picture of Birla house and wrote, “”sweet memories always stay in heart!”

The whole family were very emotional by then and they all shared a group hug. Suhani smiled seeing them, Bhavna and Soumya happily hugged her.

The family were overwhelmed and thanked Suhani.

Suh: This worked out only because of Yuvraj, he gave the details…

Gauri hugs her and elders bless her and everyone part.

Dadi went to Yuvraj’s room.

Dadi: Beta you are right, I had some ego issues, and I was over it when you talked to me yesterday. Because I saw you very happy with Suhani and felt like she is apt for you, but today, today I am sure that she is the best one for you. Your selection is wonderful.

Yuvraj was so happy and hugged her.

Yuv: Thank you soooooooo much Dadi.

She breaks the hug and they smile.

He looked outside and saw Suhani standing there. By seeing her he understood that she heard their whole conversation, for she was numb by shock. When she saw Yuvraj looking t her, Suhani left from there ASAP, and Yuvraj, he stood in shock!
