The magic of love, part 17

Suhani wakes up as usual, and reads her dairy. She then remembers that it is her birthday. She smiles sadly. She then got fresh and came to the hall. She was surprised, for the hall was decorated for birthday party, and there many pictures hanging down. She looked at the pictures, most of them where her pictures with her parents and Bhavna, mainly of their birthday parties and fun trips. She got emotional seeing those. She smiles thinking of those beautiful days.

Some were her pictures with Bhavna after that incident, their happy times and the rest where their pictures with Yuvraj and Sharad. She smiled at those. Bhavna came to her.

Bh: Happy birthday Suhani.

Suh: Di, you… you did all these?

Bh: Not alone.

Yuvraj and Sharad joins them.

Suhani gets surprised.

Suh: You both, here, that too this early.

They wish her and she nodes.

Sh: Nodding alone won’t do. We are going to blast today.

Suh: Bhaiya,

Sh: No excuses.

He blasts confetti on her and they all smile.

Suhani cuts the cake and feeds them all. Even though she felt uneasiness at first, she became fine later and then the four sits up for chatting and had lot of fun, they even played some funny games.

After sometime, all started to get hungry.

Bh: Ok guys, you be here, I will prepare something.

Sh: No.

She looks on.

Sh: I mean not alone, today we four will together cook food.

Bh: That is nice idea.

Suh: (playfully) No di, not with Yuvraj with us.

Bh: What? But why?

Yuvraj fumed and her, and Sharad looked on confused.

Suh: Yes di, you don’t know, last time, he irritated the hell out of me, when we cooked together. I am not in for the same torture again.

Yuvraj fumed further and Shavna broke into laugh.

Yuv: Wow Suhani, now was that a joke?

Suh: Not a joke, I was telling the truth.

Yuv: Really? What truth?

Suh: Di, you don’t know, he won’t stay quiet for even a second, always messes with his ultra hygiene.

Yuv: I am not ultra hygienic, you are ultra messy.

Suhani fumes.

Yuv: And today too, I will be around you, so that you won’t make unhealthy food.

Suhani was about retort and Sharad stopped her.

Then they four started to work, and Yuvraj was bossing Suhani around. She got much irritated and she threw water on him.

Yuv: Yuck, Suhani, what have you done?

Suh: Keep your mouth shout!

He fumes and goes out to change, Shavna laughs.

Four had food together and Suhani went to the balcony after that. Yuvraj followed her.

Yuv: What are you doing here?

Suh: Nothing, just…. You know, after my parents’ death I haven’t celebrated my birthday this grant.

Yuv: I know that their departure hurts you a lot, but Suhani, we can’t change the past, but we can make the present happy.

She nodes smiling.

Suh: Thank you. This was my best birthday party ever.

He smiles.

They stood in silence for a while, holing the railing and looking at the sky, then.

Yuvraj looked at Suhani, she appeared very pleased, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Everything was perfect and he felt that it is the right time to tell her about his feelings.

Yuv: Suhani….

Suh: huh?

Yuv: I, I…I wanted to tell you something.

He was stammering out of tension and she became hopeful seeing this.

Suh: (thinking) He was tensed in speaking with me, then why now? Is he going to tell me that which I think, rather want him to say?  Does he….. Please Yuvraj, just say it!

Yuvraj was so tensed that he failed to read her eyes, it reflected love for him and also hope.

He took a long breath, and started again, but ended up stammering.

The third time, he got confidence and was about to confess and he received a call. It was from Saurab and he asked Yuvraj reach office fast, for a very important meeting.

He looked at her, he was disappointed, she too.

She smiles at him and asked him to go.

He nodes and leaves.
