It was night, thick blanket of clouds covered the sky with the moon partially hidden behind the clouds with its ray creating a beautiful effect and scenery in the dark night. He stood in front of a girl’s photo in deep thoughts.
Him: I wish I could have tried to understand you so you would have been mine today.
He said this running down his fingers on the girl’s photo, a lone tear escaped his eyes, he kept crying looking at the photo. The boy was none other than Arnav.
The same girl in the photo was getting ready for her engagement , she got teary eyed but managed to stop her tears from flowing. The girl was Khushi, but she wasn’t happy like her name. All she thought about was her engagement with Arnav and went downstairs with her side friends where a groom was sitting covering his face with sehra, she sat beside him and after some rituals, she stood up along with the groom who was Rangeela. Her mom Kamini was about to tie their knots but was stopped by a familiar voice which said “This marriage can’t happen”.
They all turned towards the voice and were shocked to see Arnav, meanwhile Kamini was happy. He came inside and went on his knees and joint his palms.
A: Please Khushi give me one chance to prove myself, give me just one week then I won’t stop u from taking your decision”
She looked at him cryingly.
K: ab kya faida? Bohat derr hogai, aap ko to us waqt humare pyaar ka ehsaas hua jab hum kisi or ke honay jarahay hain, itni aasani se talaak diya or ab maafi maangtay hain aise jaise kuchh hua hi na ho, main ek khilona nahi hoon, waise bhi waqt guzar gaya hai, aap bhi zindagi me aagay bath jaiye or mujhe bhi barhne dijiye, attend my marriage if u want because m not going to give you another chance (turns to Kamini) Maa tie the knot, I will marry Rangeela n not Arnav, zindagi me sab bardaasht hai lekin phir se dhoka khana nahi.
She said this with hatred in her words, but her eyes spoke the truth, they were clearly showing that she loved Arnav, but a part of her was scared to trust him again, its said that if you love her then tell her because she won’t wait her whole life.
Listening to Khushi’s answer, he takes her hand in his hands.
A: I know I have hurt u a lot, but plz give me one chance, just one chance, everyone deserves second chance, if I won’t be able to prove myself I will let u marry anyone u want and also attend your marriage, I will move on I promise.
She looked deep into his eyes, it had so much pain and love for her, somewhere deep down, it pinched her heart to see him in so much pain. She stared at him blankly for sometime.
K: OK I will give u one chance but remember this is your last chance, if u won’t be able to prove yourself then I will marry Rangeela and move on.
Listening to this Arnav smiled and hugged her, she cried but didn’t hugged him back. Seeing them hug, Rangeela fumed.
R: Arnav, don’t u dare touch my wife
A: don’t forget she is just ur fiancee, soon she’s gona be all mine.
He gave a hopeful smile to Rangeela breaking the hug. The guests left blabbering and Rangeela went to his room and fumed and threw his sehra on the floor, he changed his clothes and went to Khushi’s room and knocked it. She is sleeping on the floor still in her bridal dress, her face fully tearstained. She fell asleep while crying. After getting no answer, he tried opening the door but found it locked, he broke the door and panicked seeing her on floor, he sat down beside her and was about to pick her up, Arnav came and stopped him, he picked the jug of water and sprinkled it on her face, she woke up and found herself on floor. She got up and took comfy clothes out of her cupboard and went to washroom to get out of her bridal dress. Both waited for her without fighting. After sometime he came out and Rangeela went towards her and held her hand. Arnav burnt in jealousy.
R: Khushi why were u crying, that too for Arnav.
Khushi pulled her hand out of his hand.
K: leave me alone, I want to rest”
Arnav got happy seeing her paying no heed to his words,
he went meanwhile Arnav and Khushi had nonstop eyelock, he too went, the rest of the day went rough for Khushi, her heart and mind were battling over Rangeela and Arnav. It was night, Khushi laid on bed crying herself to sleep and drifted into sleep sometime later.
Arnav outside his house was laying on the roof of his car gazing at stars, he smiled.
Flashback:
After all day passed and night came, everyone were asleep, Arnav and Khushi used to gaze at stars laying on the roof of the car.
After work, they came out of their house secretly towards their car, Arnav lifted Khushi up to make her lay on the roof and he came from the other side of car and climbed on the car, he laid down with his hands behind his head and Khushi laying with her head on his arm and her arm around his waist.
K: I love these stars, I wish to see them the whole time
A: I have a desire to see u only, my lady love.
She blushed.
A: oh sorry u r miss akdoo he he
K: Arnav ji! m not going to talk to u
She sat with her back facing him.
He too sat, a naughty plan came in his mind. He hugged her from back and kissed her on cheek.
A: what about now?
They had a laugh and she kissed him on his cheek.
They smiled.
Flashback ended.
How beautiful were those days, and he being a dumb head broke that beautiful relation with her just because of one misunderstanding, unlucky he. He got teary eyed and went to his room and kissed Khushi’s photo
.
A: I promise I will win u back.
Soon he too slept. His dad looked on from outside the room. He said in heart, “sorry son, u had to bear this because of me, I will rectify my mistake I promise.”
He went.
