The 4 am phone call || Chapter 3 – Her First Call || Ek Duje Ke Vaaste ||

I posted twice, but the TU did not. Anyways, hopefully now.

—Chapter 3—-
-Our First Date-

‘He’s a GENTLEMAN’

I was sleeping when I woke up by my phone’s ring. I checked the time, it was 4 am. Is it HER again? I picked up the phone and had a loonngg conversation with her. She told me to move on and to forget that she ever existed, how could I? When she calls me everyday. She even told me to think it freshly about HIM. She said that we would make an adorable couple. I smiled. She told me loads more, about how and what to do tmr.

-Next Morning-

I was getting dressed for the office. I’m such a jhalli, TBH. Wearing distressed boyfriend jeans and a grey plain tee with a shirt tied around my waist. Tons of bands on my hand and messy wavy ponytails. Carrying a graphiti back-pack with Chumbak stuff* in it. What would he be even thinking about me?
He smiled at me. I realized that for once in my life,  if I’m gonna dress up, it was gonna be for HIM. I took out a black shirt and white formal pants. I took a tan-leather bag and went to the office. I had decided that I’d wear this for him one day. I was prepared. I went to the office. Everyone was looking, rather drooling over me. Not that I’m proud of it. But it’s never bad to get attention. I shot a look at him, he gave a WTF!? look and smiled anyways. I went to my desky, Jhalle clothes and Jhalla desk! Ugghh.. I messed up, BAD. I cleaned it up and started working when he walked up to me.
‘Kal to free nahi tha..aaj 8 baje free hu.. What ’bout you?’

‘What happened to Shivani?’

‘We broke up. Turns out she was into me onlyyy for money’

‘Done..’ I smiled. He sighed and started walking away. I never realized when he snuck up behind me and whispered in my ear , ‘I liked you better when you were a Jhalli, your clumsiness is adorable to me. Switch back, please?’
And.. he walked away. Well, I blushed. Not over the fact that we’re going out, okay little of that fact. But mostly of the fact that he ‘LIKED’ me the way I am. Of course, the other guys at the office suddenly complimented me on this. But they liked this change, but neither did I nor did he. So I’m happy. I started to arrange the those colorful sticknotes and those dream catchers’ s back on my desk. The way I liked it. He smiled looking at me, I did not respond.

I was walking back home thinking of his last words to me..

// Taiyaar rehna, at 8, I’ll pick you up.. Okay, Jhalli?\\

I had smiled to him for that. He’s adorable.

I went home and got dressed. Yes, in that Jhalli look I was ‘oh so proud of’ today.

My doorbell rang and I walked out with him.

We were walking down the road and reached a restaturant. ‘THE DELHI DELITI’. We sat down at a corner table. We ordered a pizza.

‘So, are you still upset about Shivani?’

‘I was, but now I don’t think that I am anymore’

And he locked eyes with me. I shyly looked down.

‘Suman…’

I refused to look up, I did not want him to see me all tomatoe-d.

‘Sumann….!’

He said a little louder.

‘Sumo, look up!’

I looked up, shocked.

‘I’m sorry, but khaana aa gaya hai.’

I nodded and a tear escaped my eye. Im pretty sure he never noticed it. We chatted and talked more. And had food.

He offered to walk me back home.

While we were walking I was near the edge of the road while he was beside me, near the buildings. Few bikes passed by me, almost as if hitting me. He placed his hand on my shoulder and shifted me to the other side. [SORRY FOR THE KRP..REFRENCE]

‘ Suman, look. Im pretty sure that there is something connected to the name *SUMO*. I don’t wanna know unless you want to tell me. I know it could be hard. But take your time..okay?’

I smiled and nodded. He side hugged me. He dropped me home.

‘This was fun, we should do this again sometime.’

‘YES! Please!’ I was a little extra excited, this was like a dream. He chuckled at my childishness, and sat on his car and left. I entered my home. And went straight to bed. It was really good to have this date. I blushed and slept off. And SHE ruined it. I was having an amazing dream and SHE called. She told me to never tell this to anyone that she talked to me, otherwise she would ‘RUIN’ my life. I talked to her a little more. She told me everything about how to impress Shravan and everything. Blah-Blah. I slept off. I was really disturbed of the fact saying that she would ruin my life if I told anything about her to anyone. I dispersed those thoughts and thought about my date with HIM.

*Chumbak stuff* okay so your can google this, Chumbak is a brand which have thsse really funky and colorful and adorablee items. Stationery, or Cutlery, anything and eveything. So you can google it up if you dont know about it. SO Suman is basically like a jhalli-ish tomboy.

Okay, so my episode lengths are gonna be only this. And I probably think that this ff would end in like 6-7 parts. 4 done.. 3 more to go! Love you loads!!
