20 Years Later- A KumKum Bhagya Story Episode 3

A young 4 year old girl picks up the newspaper and shows it to her 10 year old sister…The front page has a photo of the famous rock star Abhishek Prem Mehra….the older sister suddenly starts breathing very heavily and her body starts shivering…the young girl calls her mother and her mother realises that her daughter is having a panic attack…she is taken to the doctor and the doctor informs her that her daughter has ptsd due to some traumatic event…the doctor also mentions that if in the future she meets these people there is a high chance of her anxiety returning…

present

It is 7 am in the morning and almost everyone in the Mehra Mansion of awake for a change…

Meanwhile the scene shifts to Rhea’s room where a beautiful Kiara is sleeping peacefully…However she looks like a complete mess due to her tears which smeared her make up on her full face…she is wearing a shiny sleeveless short dress from yesterday night which is very uncomfortable…

Due to the discomfort of her clothing she wakes up…Her head is heavy due to her hangover but she cannot place where she is…all the photographs in the room are of one girl whom she doesn’t recognise…she can’t place where she is because the Mehra Mansion has changed so much due to renovation…she can’t remember how she landed up here or what happened…the only thing she remembers was her and Sunny drinking beer and then going to Disha’s house….after that everything was a blur…

Not knowing what to do…she steps out of the room and sees the staircase….As she is walking down…she sees a familiar face looking at her…since she hasn’t worn her lenses she can’t see clearly…she goes down a couple of steps to get a clear look…but she is appalled at the sight of the person..

Her body begins shaking terribly and she feels sick as f**k…she can feel her body losing control and wanting to fall down that very moment…that is exactly what happens…she loses balance and trips…she rolls down the steps like a lifeless body..

Abhi on the other hand was very happy to see his baby…but his expressions change as she falls down the steps…he runs towards her and puts her in his lap…he notices her body shaking…

Meera who had interned at a childs hospital before realises that the girl is having a panic attack

Meera: Mr Mehra…she is having a panic attack…

His world comes crashing…he can’t see her like this…he starts sobbing…meanwhile everyone is shocked to see him in this state…

Meera grabbed kiara and tried to calm her down…where as pallavi and beeji rubbed her hands…meanwhile vikram and purab tried to console abhi who was very broken…

A few hours later…

Nothing had changed in the Mehra mansion since the past few hours…no one had even spoken to each other…

Kiara was lying down on Meera’s lap on the sofa however she was unresponsive…

The bell rang and the servant let the people in…

It was Disha and Sunny…

Everyone gasped as they saw Disha after so many years and Purab got emotional…whereas Alia clenched her fists in anger

Disha walked over to Kiara directly avoiding eye contact with anybody…

She was very rude to Meera and pulled Kiara from her…

She began to pat her head….Kiara began to move her eyes…she was showing improvement…

Suddenly within seconds she was awake, however not completely in her senses and she started crying loudly

Kiara:Masi…Masi…Disha Masi…

Sunny then gave something to Disha along with a water bottle…

Disha forcefully fed Kiara a anti anxiety pill and water….all the others were very astonished with all this…

Kiara slowly fell of to sleep tugging on to Disha’s hand

Disha signalled Sunny and he picked Kiara up from the sofa and began to take her outside in his arms…he was burning with rage and no one dared to stop him…By this time Disha had already walked out of the house…The rest of the Mehra and Kohli families didn’t even move and they were still trying to process this information

Meanwhile , In Abhi’s room Rhea was still sleeping peacefully tugging onto her comatose mother…

A few hours passed by and everyone came down on the lunch table although no one was in a mood to eat…

The landline rung…a servant picked it up..

Servant: Abhishek sir, ranbir baba is asking for you

Abhi was too lost to notice or even hear this

Meera:Mr Mehra…Mr Mehra where are you lost?(she very well knew where he was lost and her heart was breaking into pieces but she wanted to stay on and support the love of her life in this difficult time)

Abhi ignored Meera and walked towards the phone…

Ranbir said something to him and he dropped the phone shockingly..

Everyone was worried but he just left the dining room and went towards Dadi’s room and laid down on the bed…

He was crying…he was broken…he had failed as a father…a husband

Flashback

Ranbir is seen going into Prachis room after the doctor tells him she has woken up…

He goes and kisses her forehead….

However to his utmost surprise he pushes him

Prachi:Are you a doctor?

Abhi has fallen down on the floor because of his last conversation with Ranbir and he is seen blaming himself for failing as a husband and father…

The entire Mehra and Kohli families are shocked to see Abhi like that because they have never seen him like that…Meera tries to go towards him however someone stops her right there

Alia: MEERA!please leave you are fired (yay bye bye meera)

Everyone is aghast to hear her decision and Meera looks helplessly towards Abhi who is lost and bothered by his own problems and thus doesn’t pay any heed towards Meera

A disappointed Meera walks away…Pallavi and Beeji try to stop her however she goes towards her room…Once she reaches her room she throws all her things and sits down on the floor crying

Rhea passes by but only looks at Meera and then remembers she has to be with her mother

Meera-Oh great now even my favourite person in the world doesn’t have time for me.I have done so much for this family and suddenly they just want to abandon me.So much for 20 years of my service and care.

She then begins packing her bags quickly.

Meanwhile at the hospital Kiara and Sunny are seen discussing something with the doctor…they nod and then leave…Ranbir looks at them helplessly

Meera has packed her bags and starts walking out of the house…Pallavi hugs her and emotionally tries to stop her however she doesn’t listen and begins to walk out quickly…

Rhea runs down the steps after realising what is happening but Alia signals her to stop right there…

Suddenly…a loud bang is heard and there is a sound of suitcases falling

A beautiful girl yells – CAN’T YOU SEE WHERE YOU’RE GOING LADY

Suddenly everyone is looking towards her…She removes her sunglasses and stands with sass.She is wearing a formal suit with a pink blouse

Meera is tired with the drama of this house so she takes suitcases and begins leaving

Due to all this commotion Abhi comes out of his dreaming world and sees Meera leaving…He questions Alia with his hands but she nods and tells him to look at that girl

Everyone was shocked to see the girl who had just bumped into Meera

Alia-What are you doing here young lady?

Girl-None of your business you chea—

Purab-Stop right there Kiara!

Kiara-No you stop talking…Please address me as Ms Arora…

Alia-Watch your tongue…

Kiara fists her hand under her just like Abhi used to do and Rhea does it too.

Both Abhi and Rhea notice this… Kiara finds them staring at her fists and she opens them up..She then walks towards Abhi

Kiara:Mr Mehra…(everyone is shocked to hear this and Abhi has tears in his eyes)…I just wanted to inform you that Me , Disha Masi and Sunny are taking prachi abroad for treatment and that my mother shall stay here…I beg your cruel family to please take care of her and not abandon her like your always do…(looking at Alia)…please keep her away from my mom..

Saying this she turns around and leaves while everyone is still trying to process what she said….However when they finally look at her she is already exiting the mansion

Meanwhile,

Ranbir is driving home and is lost in thoughts….He is remembering all his moments with Prachi…Suddenly he breaks…He remembers Sunny telling him that this is all because of him and wouldn’t have happened if he was not there…

Cars are honking and Ranbir has stopped his car on the main road…

Ranbir reaches home in his car and is crying…the security guards ask him what is wrong but he ignores them and walks helplessly towards the Mehra and Kohli Mansion…

As he enters the common lobby he sees everyone sitting lost in their thoughts…since he is too broken himself he doesn’t bother much about them and starts walking towards his house..Only Rhea sees him and tries to go towards him but he signals her to stop and she has tears rolling down her cheeks…

Meanwhile ,

At the hospital , Disha is making all the arrangements and finishing of all the payments while Kiara is sitting on the bench while the hand on her head and Sunny is lost in her beauty…He then pulls her out of her position into his lap and hugs her…

Kiara-Sunny why does this always always happen to mumma…why does she always have to suffer because of someone else..If you and Disha Masi were not here what would I do…I love you so much Sunny

Sunny-I love you too my jaan

Disha hears this part of the conversation and looks questioningly at Sunny

Disha-When will you tell her?I hope its not too late by then…

Sunny -I don’t know Ma…what if she doesn’t feel the same way…(whispering)

Disha-Its better to tell her as soon as you can before its too late

Sunny-Ma shush she will hear…

Kiara-What are you too murmuring about huh?(sleepy tone)

Disha-Come kia, get up its time to go..

Suddenly Kiara gets all emotional and Sunny hugs her reassuringly

Disha-Prachi will be alright don’t worry!

Kiara-I hope what you are saying is true….Is it safe to leave Ma all alone here…i don’t feel like leaving her all alone

Disha starts thinking and looks towards Sunny

Sunny-Ma i can stay back…you and Kiara take prachi to New York…

Kiara-WHAT?are you sure Sunny?Where will you stay Mehra Mansion?

Sunny-No No…I will rent a place near there and go take care of Masi everyday…

Disha-Ok Sunny…then we should go..

Sunny hugs Disha and Kiara and then he leaves from there

Sunny-I really love her…

Meanwhile,

Ranbir is sitting in his room thinking of all his memories with Prachi when Rhea comes..

Rhea-Please listen to me Ranbir,I love you

Ranbir-But I don’t

Rhea cries and goes to her mothers room…

Rhea sits besides her mother and starts crying…that’s when a drop of tears falls on Pragya’s hand and she moves a little…However Rhea is too busy crying to notice that…Rhea slowly falls asleep while Pragya starts  gaining consciousness

Meanwhile,

Flight 6B80A is ready for take off…please fasten your seat belts…you will land at JFK after 16
