Chetna introduces her family as she makes a recording. It is Di’s engagement today. She turns the camera on her parents who are arguing over the missing engagement ring. Her parents notice her recording their video. They tell her to stop recording. DIL taunts her MIL for getting such an expensive ring for engagement.
Pranati pulls the ring out of her brother’s toy. She hits the ladder behind her and the guy putting the lights drops them on her. Her mother asks her if she found the ring. Pranati nods. Her mother reprimands her for not getting ready on time. She looks at the preps and notices the box of laddoos open. She gets tensed. Pranati is stuck upon what had happened years ago! Why can she not move ahead? She calls Pranati there. Please forget the
A match is going on in the orphanage. Kids get afraid of their matron but Jugnu isn’t bothered at all. Matron tells her bouncers to clean up Jugnu. I have sold her to foreigners. Dress her like a girl! Bouncers / guard complain to Jugnu. We better get rid of you this time. The little girl recalls how she has been made to work like a maid in all the houses but she was always sent back here. They bathe her and dress her up.
Pranati gets ready for her engagement.
Kids taunt Jugnu. You will become a maid in American House this time! Guard tells him it wont be that but the other kids continue taunting her. Jugnu is brought in front of the American family. They offer her food with the suggestion of using fork instead of her hands.
Archit comes with his family. Pranati greets them but Archit’s mother makes an unhappy face. Archit takes everyone’s permission to speak to Pranati. Everyone nods. Archit’s mother speaks of money
Pranati and Archit come to her room. Her gardener’s son asks for his ball. Pranati gives him. Archit asks Pranati if she is under any pressure. I have been chasing you for 5 years. You can tell me if it is the case. Pranati denies. We are better off than those who get into arranged marriage. He asks her if they share love. She says real life love and reel life love is very different. Friendship, trust, respect and equation is important. We have that already. I am ready for our engagement. Archit promises to be her friend before her fiancé. Is it too filmy? She thanks him.
The plate with expensive laddoos brought by Archit’s mother gets hit by the little boy’s ball. Pranati saves him before she could slap the little kid. Don’t raise your hand on a kid for such a small matter. Archit’s mother complains of the monetary damage but Pranati gives her fitting replies. Chetna takes the boy outside.
Pranati’s mother tells Pranati not to argue with her MIL. Don’t get emotional over all the kids! Pranati asks her if she shouldn’t be emotional regarding kids especially on the day she gained and lost her. Her mother advises her to make new memories. Don’t think of what has happened in the past. She is dead. Pranati says it is a sign that I should tell Archit everything. Her mother threatens to slash her wrist. Why are you bent upon ruining everything? Apologize to your MIL. Pranati isn’t convinced but her mother forces her.
Jugnu says it is my birthday. She picks up fork when the American family offers her a muffin. She pushes it in lady’s thigh and runs off. Gattu helps her escape from the balcony. She jumps into a truck which is waiting under the window. Guards chase the truck.
Pranati apologizes to her MIL for her words. I dint want to offend you. Her MIL forgives her. we have raised our son and have sent him to best schools / college. We would have a long queue of girls if Archit hadn’t liked Pranati. Look at the decor. Pranati’s salary should come to our house only. Archit agrees.
Jugnu panics noticing the red light. She jumps off the truck. She climbs inside Pranati’s room while running.
Pranati questions Archit. Archit says Ma isn’t wrong. Your salary of 35k will come to my house and my 50k will come to your house. It should be a balanced equation too. They would have spent money on raising Pranati also just like you have spent on mine. Jugnu gets inside. She steals some stuff while threatening to hurt anyone who will step forward. Pranati gets pulled towards her and walks up to her. Guard walk in just then. They ask for Jugnu. Jugnu calls them bad. Pranati refuses to let Jugnu return with them. It might be that she has run away from you only! Guards show their ID cards. Jugnu says I will run away again. I wont spare anyone who would come near me. Pranati asks about the blood in Jugnu’s hand. Guard tells her. Jugnu threatens to hurt the guards also. Pranati puts the knife aside and talks very sweetly to Jugnu. Jugnu hugs her. They are just pretending to be nice in front of you. They will hit me when I will be there. Pranati assures her she will come to meet her soon. Jugnu tries to make her understand but Pranati keeps comforting her. She feels a different connect towards the girl. Guards finally take Jugnu with them.
Pranati tells her father and brother to find out about the orphanage. They nod. Archit’s mother speaks badly about Jugnu which angers Pranati but her mother tells her to be quiet. Archit’s mother speaks badly about illicit relations. They give birth to illegitimate kids later on. Why is she crying over an illegitimate child? Pranati says it is parents who make mistakes yet the kids are the one who suffer. They continue arguing. Archit tells his mother to calm down but in vain. Pranati asks Archit’s mother if she realises the pain of separating from a kid. Archit’s mother asks if she would tell her about that pain. Pranati says I will tell you. Archit’s mother asks her if it was her daughter. Pranati says she wasn’t but it was someone else. Pranati admits that she had a daughter. Epi ends on Archit’s shocked face.
