Ek Mahanayak Dr. BR Ambedkar 17th December 2019 Written Episode, Written Update on TellyUpdates.com

Rain pours. A girl runs for cover near Baba Saheb’s statue. She is relieved to have found shelter and thanks the statue. An old man asks her if she knows who he is. She nods. He is the one who wrote the constitution of India. He asks her what else she knows. She says this is what we have been taught in course. He says you got saved from rain because of him and the world had been saved because of his ideals yet this is all you know about him. She asks him to share more about him. He shares that constitution was just a part of what he did. He also made people aware about it. He used to say that if we want to live even after dying then we should write something that the world will remember. We can grow only when we forget caste and religion and treat people equally. The world must

abide by his ideals if it wants to progress.

Garland falls down from the statue. The little girl runs to pick it. She places the garland around the statue’s neck. She salutes it next. Old man says you are completely drenched. She innocently says even Baba Saheb is drenched. He says Baba was born on a rainy day. This is usual for him.

14 April 1891
A woman goes in labour. Another lady tells the kids to stay outside and closes the door. She comforts the lady. It is a windy / stormy night. Baba Saheb’s father (Subedar Ram ji) reaches dispensary but it is locked. He runs to wake up the doctor. The kids are in tears. The elder one assures his siblings that Baba will bring doctor soon. Ram ji knocks at the door of doctor. She peeks out of the window. Her husband tells her to let it be. British army has given them too much importance. He is just a Subedar! Doctor wants to go but her husband is reluctant. He speaks of their low caste. No one touches anything that such people touch. Let his wife die! Doctor gives in. Ram ji decides to find Dai Ma.

Baba Saheb’s Bua tells the kids to find their father.

Ram ji wakes up Dai Ma and brings her home with him. Dai Ma checks Ram ji’s wife. Ram ji prays to God to save them. We have already lost 8 out of 13! This is 14th one. Please save this one. Dai Ma tells Ram ji that the life of both the mother and kid is in danger. Call doctor. Ram ji tells her that he did try there but doctor dint open the door. Please do something. Ram ji paces worriedly as Dai Ma goes back inside. He opens a book.

Ram ji’s kids knock at doctor’s door.

Ram ji’s wife uses her strength to push the kid. On the other hand, their kids keep requesting doctor to open the door but in vain. Ram ji’s wife screams out loud. Ram ji holds his breath. The little kid cries few moments later. Ram ji hugs the book overwhelmed. His wife sighs as well. It stops raining. He looks outside in surprise. Whose arrival has made everything so quiet suddenly? Dai Ma congratulates him. All the kids rush to their father. Ram ji assures them that their little brother is here. He has quietened the storm the moment he was born.

Ram ji’s sister keeps the name of the baby – Bheem. Ram ji holds him and takes him outside. His sister advises him not to do it but Ram ji lifts him high in air. Look at the world. His sister asks him what the little kid will see in the middle of the night. Ram ji says light. Darkness may be there but light comes out eventually. The sun will shine brighter than before. Sun rises in the background.

MHOW
Ram ji chants. His sister tells him to let the kid sleep but he reasons that kids start listening to us when they are in the womb. This will be good for him. She asks him if she wants him to become a Mahatma. He says I don’t mind. I will give him immense knowledge. He will be very smart one day. Kids are eager to have laddoos but their Bua advises them to distribute it in the village first. Ram ji asks the kids how they will distribute it. They reply that they will distribute it in every house. We will start from a side. Ram ji says I will tell you which house you should go to and which you should avoid altogether. Don’t give to Vikas. They ask him why he shouldn’t go to every house. He asks them what they love the most. One of them says sweet and the other says spicy. He suggests them to distribute sweets in the houses where people like sweets. They nod. Ram ji says I wont like it that kids will be fully excited but people will just send them away upset.

Both the brothers are distributing laddoos. A kid is tempted by laddoos and follows them. The younger brother suggests his brother to give sweet to that kid. His elder brother tells him against it but the little brother gives him a laddoo. His mother notices it and walks towards hem unhappily. The elder brother pulls his little brother aside. The other boy’s mother throws the laddoo away before her son can eat it. She next pours water over his head to bathe him right then and there. Her husband asks her why she did that. She shares that he took laddoo from Ram ji’s son. She reprimands her son. Ram ji looks on. That boy’s father salutes Ram ji who shakes his head unhappily at him. A guy taunts him for his hypocrisy. The guy says he might hold a higher post but my wife also did the right thing. We are upper class than him.

The younger brother wonders why that boy’s mother threw the laddoo away. Elder one tells him the same logic that his father had told them earlier.

Ram ji is distributing sweets to his fellow colleagues when he receives a letter. He is shocked to read it. It means it wasn’t a rumour. Now people from our caste will not be admitted in British army. Those who are already a part of it will be asked to leave. I should speak to Major.

Major tells Ram ji that government is also bound by rules. We have to make amends sometimes. Ram ji says I came here to teach but company made me Subedar and sent me here. no one had a problem with my caste back then but why do they object now. People from upper class (but lower job post) are happy with company’s decision.

Ram ji tells his wife about the current situation. She tells him she is scared. He agrees that her concern is right. One should meditate when the worries become too much to handle. He suggests a famous poet’s name. They look at their son.

A little grown up Baba Saheb is shown.

Precap: This is the same book for which Baba Saheb sold his Nani’s locket. He explains that this is a science book. It tells what happens around us and the world and why. Will a locket tell us that? Everyone looks at him in amazement. Ram ji’s family is asked to vacate their house. Their house is ordered to be cleaned and washed out properly. Ram ji’s daughter asks her father if they will never return here. Baba Saheb says I will. I will come here and I will colour the house blue completely. It will look just like the sky. I will then be able to see it even from every corner of the world. It will stand out just like the sky!
