Sofia Hayat comes out in support of Dalai Lama
Bigg Boss fame Sofia Hayat recently took to her social media account and shared a video, where she can be seen speaking in support of Dalai Lama.
In her video, she said, “I have seen the outpour of love from the supporters and I am really proud of you that you support the Dalai Lama in this time. The video I saw and the statement I made was an immediate reaction to what has gone wrong by these spiritual leaders. After looking at the evidence, I don’t think the Dalai Lama’s intentions were bad. I do support the Dalai Lama and I wish all his supporters love and blessings. But I also would say please don’t react with violence or aggression to anyone because that does nothing. Always show love as I am doing now.”

Sofia earlier shared a video, where she talked about her own past abusive childhood incident and wrote, “The world is against the Dalai Lama. Why are some Indians still supporting him? It only makes the world focus on the many rapes and acts of child abuse that are not being taken seriously. Hopefully, this will pressurise India and other countries to change their laws and take child abuse and rape seriously. I myself have been s*xually abused as a child. I know what is the wrong way to behave with children. I have helped many people who have been abused as children as well as young adults who have been abused and raped. I have done this work for over 20 years as I never wanted anyone to feel like i did. To the bullies who support Dalai Lama. Wake up. The world is watching and has seen what he did.”

For the unversed, Dalai Lama was trolled last week after a video of him making a boy uncomfortable in a public setting went viral. On Monday, the office for the Dalai Lama stated that he “wishes to apologise to the boy and his family, as well as his many friends across the world, for the hurt his words may have caused,” adding he “regrets” the incident. “His Holiness often teases people he meets in an innocent and playful way, even in public and before cameras,” the statement said.
