Chapter 62
The mansion was filled with the hustle and bustle, every single person was busy with the work, they were trying to give their best to the special day….. Swara was getting ready in her room, Ragini was there to help her. Siya and Ashwin were also there, curiously looking at Swara….
Ragini: Ashu why don’t you go and check your jiju, see whether he is ready or not??
Ashwin: I went a while ago, he was busy with laptop..
Ragini: (shaking her head) Oh god!! Can’t he keep his work aside for one day?
Swara: there might be something important….

Ragini smiled over Swara’s attempt to defend him…
Ragini: (teasing smile) Not bad dear, so much love for your would be ha!!!
“Stop it Ragini” She said blushingly
Siya: (worriedly) Shona ma is looking so pretty, how would dad look!!!
Both Swara and Ragini smiled looking at her worried face…
Ashwin: he will look good in every attire…. Beside he has good taste
Swara: (shocked) Ashu!!! You are such a pervert….. don’t you remember how you mentioned that he wears boring clothes??
Ashwin: I have stated that just by seeing his picture, but my opinion changed when I met him personally…

Ragini: Ok Guys, stop all this…. she is almost ready….
Ashwin: No, Ragini di….. She needs more otherwise jiju will steal all the limelight
“Ashu!!!” Swara exclaimed angrily….
“don’t worry ma, you are the best… the prettiest” Siya squealed holding her hand…

Evening, at hall
Sanskar and Swara were sitting in the middle on a big settee, surrounded by all family…. They were looking perfet, Swara in simple royal blue silk lehnga with minimum jewelries glowing like a morning due, while a simple beige color shervani added more charisma to Sanskar’s charming personality. Swara silently admired him but he being candid whispered “how could you look so beautiful every time”…. careful not to get caught by anyone…Annapurna made Swara wear their patrimonial gold bangles…..
Laksh: (playfully) Mom, this is not fair…. You haven’t given this to Ragini
Ragini: Laksh!!!

Annapurna: (avoiding his teasing) this belongs to the Sanskar’s wife, it was your dadi’s wish, she gave this to me and I am giving this to her….
Ram: Laksh you can fight over it after, let us do the ring ceremony first….
Hitting Laksh on his shoulder Ragini moved to bring the rings, Swara and Sanskar intermittently slide the rings in the respective fingers….. everyone clapped for them, but most excited person was Siya, she kissed Swara’s cheek and then Sanskar’s as they done with the rituals…. All were happy, this is what they wished for….. Laksh, Ragini were involved in chatting with the couple, Laksh was as usual left no chance to trouble them with his teasing comments. But away from all this Annapurna and Sharmishtha were looking silently at their kids with teary eyes, enjoying the most blissful moment of their motherhood and praying for their everlasting joy and togetherness….

Night, Swara’s room
Swara was sitting with her Ma, Sanjeet and Bushra….. After the ceremony and diner they were chit-chatting casually….
Sharmishtha: Shona, you have packed your bags or not? We have to leave in the morning….
Swara: yeah, I have done….
Sanjeet: (looking at Swara) someone gonna miss this place very badly or perhaps the person….
Sharmishtha and Bushra smiled at Sanjeet’s words….
“Uncle” Swara said shyly….
Bushra: stop teasing my daughter…..

Sanjeet: I think we should leave her alone now, let her spend some time with Sanskar…. She is coming with us, we can talk there….. Sanskar might be waiting for her…..
Sharmishtha: Shona, Sanjeet is right…. If want to talk with him, go….
She wanted to be with him, this was going to be her last night at the mansion, thereafter they will have to wait about two months to see each other again…. But how could she just express it in front of all…
Swara: (blushing) No ma, I don’t want to….
Sanjeet: (playfully) May be he wants to…

Bushra signaled him to stop, raising a brow little angrily….
Swara: (softly) it’s late he might have slept…. Beside, Uncle he is not a teenager or a college boy who will display such impatience….. he is a mature person….
“Swara…” the voice interjected her words, she nervously looked at the direction as she recognized who it is…. Sanskar stepped in oblivious of other’s presence in her room…. She looked helplessly at him, embarrassed on how her words she spoke so confidently about him a while ago turned out a blatant lie…
Sanskar little bewilder looking at all, he didn’t expect this…. but then he wiped all those thoughts and prepared himself for next…
“Aunty may I take Swara out??” he asked looking at Sharmishtha… trio looked at each other and then burst into laughter making him baffle than ever….. The color rushed to Swara’s face, she quickly dropped her gaze…..
“Off-course, you can take her…. Go Shona” Sharmishtha said holding her laugh….

Sanskar was driving, glancing Swara in between, she was quiet……
Sanskar: (to divert his mind) Swara are you not happy with the engagement?
Swara: (perplexed) why are you talking like this? Off-course I am happy…..
Sanskar: then why you are not talking to me….
Swara: I am just lost in something, leave that tell me where we are going?
Sanskar: hold on, you will get to know….
She didn’t argue or trouble him to reveal instead stayed silently….. Sanskar observing her, every single expression…..
Sanskar: Missing baba!!!
She looked at him with teary eyes, little amused on how he got to know her feelings….
Sanskar: Swara I know it’s difficult to control your emotions, but you know what he must be very happy today, after all his daughter got engaged with such a wonderful person, a gem indeed…
She smiled over his words and wiped off the tears at the corner of her eyes….. he smiled back, contend to see her smiling again…. soon the car halted in a little deserted place…. Sanskar stepped out of the car and opened the door for her….
Sanskar: (holding her hand) Come…..
Swara eyes were busy in scanning the place, it was a small cottage, a kind of farm house built in a old cottage style, surrounded by trees and different color of flowers…. In front was a huge pond, a man made pond, the water sparkling in the moonlight….
“it’s so beautiful, which place is this” Swara asked lost in there…
“This is our holiday home when we were kids” he replied…..
“Come I will show you” he said and took her inside….
The place was cozy and there was every single item needed for the comfort…. The place was clean and tidy…. Sanskar made her sit on a big couch placed in the hall…
Swara: so here are your childhood memories….
Sanskar: (looking around) yeah, when we were in school…. Me, lucky and Adarsh bhai, we love to spend our every weekend here…. this was our favorite holiday destination… we play games, cook food ourselves, swim in the pond…. and many other things…. Sometimes we stay here overnight, when bhai manages to sway Mom and dad…. This place is very special to me Swara, though I am coming here after a long but whenever I miss bhai, this is the place which gives me peace….
Swara: (keeping her head on his shoulder) perhaps this is the reason of this place’s charm…
Sanskar: (holding her hand) Swara, I am going to start a new life with you, so wanted to start it from here, you have to do a promise to me…..
Swara looked at his deep, intense eyes…..

Swara: what promise??
Sanskar: Swara I will do my best to keep you happy and ensure no more tears in your eyes but you know how life is, it’s a blend of good and bad, happiness and sorrows. There will be ups and downs, joy and sorrows, love and fight in our life like every normal couple but promise me that you will never leave me…. no matter how angry or upset you are with me, and how deeply you get hurt by my behavior, you will never think of going away from me….. fight with me, shout at me, curse me but be with me….. We will face it together……
She was staring in his eyes, which were still haunted by the past he witnessed….. she hugged him tightly
Swara: (kissing his cheek) promise I will never leave you, never ever…. Not even if you ask me to…
Sanskar: (caressing her hair) that will never happen….

They looked at each other filled with affection and then sealed their promise with a kiss, kiss of love and trust and eternal togetherness…. They lied down comfortably on the couch, holding each other, with Swara on him…. This is what they were craving for, to spend some time only with each other which they hardly get after that night, when they were all alone in Mansion…
“Swara, I will miss you” he said playing with her fingers
“I thought you will never say” she replied with a smile…
“May be I didn’t express good enough to you but that doesn’t mean I am not feeling it” he said
“I know, you don’t need to put your feelings in words, I can see through your eyes” she replied
There after they stayed silent, feeling and enjoying their closeness which they gonna miss a lot……
“baby, shall we go??” he asked softly although he wasn’t willing to
“Please stay, I don’t want to go back so early” she replied tightening her grip on him, Sanskar smile over her innocent reply….

Morning, Swara’s room
She was giving a last check to her bags, when he stepped in…. Swara looked up to him….
“Good morning” she greeted with a smile and he replied back to her…
Sanskar: (looking around) done with you packing??
Swara: yeah….
They stared each other for few seconds trying to hide their emotions but failed…suddenly he pulled her closer and smashed his lips on hers, making her gasp at first but then she melted in his touch…. They were not willing to leave each other but then she pulled out panting heavily….. Sanskar smiled and touched his forehead with her….
Swara: (shyly) leave me, anyone could come….
Sanskar: (bossy tone) So what, now we are officially engaged…
Swara: getting officially engaged doesn’t permit you to romance openly….
Sanskar: (wrapping his arms around her waist) don’t you know, it does….
Swara shook her head in disbelieve with a smile on her face….
“take care of yourself and Siya and ha mom also” she said staring him…
“You too” he replied pecking her forehead…
“I will miss you” she said with teary eyes…. Sanskar engulfed her tightly in his arms “me too” he replied… releasing Swara, he made her look at him and leaned closer to kiss her but they got astound with Siya’s shilling voice and quickly departed….
“Shona ma!!!” she called out loudly
Swara nervously looked here and there…..
Siya: (confused) Shona ma, dad what happened, why she is crying??
Staring Swara, Sanskar picked up Siya in his arms…. “Because she is going to miss you and your dad”

Siya: (looked at Swara) don’t worry, just 47 days then you will come back….. and we will do live chatting every day, hai na dad (she said looking at Sanskar)
Swara came up to her and kissed her cheek “Ok dear, no more cries…. You remember your promise na, you have to study regularly ok” she said
“Ok, promise” Siya replied
Sanskar encircled Swara with his other hand, making her lean on his chest, protectively embracing the two most special persons of his life close to him…. One of the best feelings he could ever get….
