Naamkaran – The tale of Avni’s sacrifice – Part 1

My second FF story. Thanks everyone for your kind words on the AvNeil confession FF. This is an alternative track to that, where Avni brings Juhi home to help her get her life on track, gets signs that her presence brings bad luck to Neil, decides to leave, and Neil tries to bring her back… Let’s see how this matches with the real one! I kinda hope the makers take this route.

The operation at Rang Mahal concludes with Neil and his Men in Black team entering using the Raavan effigy as a Trojan horse, Ali rescued, Neil united with Avni, evidence gathered on the dark business of the Rang Mahal, and Gurumaa and her goons captured. Dayavanti Mehta vows to avenge Avni and free her grandson Amol who has been caught for his crimes. Juhi and all the other girls are rescued, and taken into protective shelter by DD for rehabilitation. Avni stops him:

AVNI: Wait DD. Where are you taking them?
DD: Bhabhi, don’t worry. I am taking them to a safe shelter where they will get all protection and help to recover. I promise everyone will be taken care of until they are reunited with their families.
AVNI: Juhi will come back home with us now. [turns to Neil] Neil, we shouldn’t send Juhi away – she has nowhere to go. We should take her back home and help her. Please…

She gets a look of amazement from Neil, who thinks – Avni, how can you be so selfless? How can someone be so good?

AVNI: Neil, there is nothing more to think about. She is coming with us. [Avni goes to Juhi] Juhi, come with us. [Juhi shakes her head, as if to say no] I am your friend, am I not? I will not let you be taken away to a shelter home. You will come with me, and that’s it. [holds Juhi’s hand and takes her]

Avni and Neil enter the Khanna mansion, received by Bebe, Neela-ma, dad and mom. Bebe does their aarti.
BEBE: Good has won over evil again. My Ram and Seeta have returned home after destroying Lanka and defeating Raavan. You have come victorious through all the trials. May god give you both lots of happiness now. [does a tika for Neil, then Avni].
PAPA: Welcome back, beti. This house was incomplete without you!

Juhi appears from behind Avni, much to the shock of everyone. The Khannas and Neela Ma are shell-shocked to see Juhi with Neil and Avni.

BEBE: She.. She’s Juhi.. isn’t she? Why has she come here?
AVNI: Bebe, Juhi has no place to go now. The poice were about to take her to a shelter home. We can’t let that happen. She is my friend. I have brought her back with me. And it is my responsibility now to help her rebuild her life. You will support me, won’t you Bebe? [Bebe is in tears. Everyone else shocked to hear Avni’s words. Neel looks at her with admiration. Neela Ma shakes her head, thinks ‘What are you doing Avni, you are going to ruin your own life.”
BEBE: meri bachchi, you have grown so much in stature in my eyes, that I don’t know whether to love you more or do your pooja. This is YOUR home, Avni. YOU have all rights to bring your friend here and I will always support you. [She does and aarti for Juhi] My bahu’s friend is welcome at our home.
PAPA: Avni, this house was in darkness without you around. You have come back and brought back life to this house. [Avni touches his feet, and then Shweta’s]
SHWETA: beta… [Avni’s tears roll up when she hears Shweta call her that] I am just happy you are alright. I was so worried.
AVNI: maaji. I am perfectly alright. Your ladla super cop came to rescue me, to save everyone, and he destroyed evil like Lord Ram did. You placed your hand on my head today, and that means more than anything else for me!

They enter the house, Juhi looks around.
