Shivaay came to the poolside and started thinking  about the incidents of the evening.

He knew that there was something fishy in Anika’s behaviour the day before. And today, when he went to the chawl where Omru were supposedly kidnapped and kept, there was no Security around, the ropes were loose and also, Rudra could use his phone to call up Shivaay. He had also observed that both their faces showed no signs of shock or tension and there was no bruise or even a scratch on them. This had made Shivaay think that the kidnap was a set up and the conversation which he had just overheard proved that there was something deep in it. And that deep was that he was illegitimate. The Shivaay Singh Oberoi, who used to taunt people and pride himself on his blood lineage was now tagged as illegitimate. He was hurt, badly. He was broken, shattered. He could see his ego crushed down under his foot. But, he still couldn't believe it. So, he decided to know the whole thing, that means, hearing this from his parents, who would be the only people knowing the truth. It was late and he could not do anything now. Tomorrow morning would be the deciding morning. But, he needed to know what exactly happened with Anika.
He called Khanna. After three minutes, he was checking out the footage of the past three days. He came across the part where Pinky blackmailed Anika, but that was muted and Shivaay couldn’t hear anything. All he could conclude was that his Mom had told his Anika something and then she had broken down, crying miserably. He couldn’t ask his Mom because then the whole blame would crash down on poor Anika.
He called Khanna again. After a few mins, Khanna came to Shivaay and gave him a tiny box.
Just as Khanna left, Anika saw Shivaay sitting at the poolside and came and sat beside him.
Anika,” Shivaay, I’m sorry. I didn’t…”
“No Anika. Nothing more. I’m sorry that I doubted on you. I know you can never do such a thing and I also know that the kidnap was a set up. Please tell me why did you do that.”
Anika’s eyes widened in shock, fear and hurt.
“No…no Shivaay, it wasn’t a set up. I…I really wan…wanted to take re…reve…revenge.”
“When you can’t even say that word without stammering then how can you think about it? ”
“Shivaay, I m telling you na that it was all my fault. Then. It. Was. All. My. Fault. Got. It ?”
“Anika, you know what ? You suck at acting. I know you don’t want to tell me. Let it be. I’ll get to the roots myself.”
Anika was upset so she got up and went to the room. Shivaay followed.
