Chapter 8

The letter

Naira half heartedly bid a goodbye to her family members and sat in the car. This was her first journey with a heavy heart but she had at least done something to have a little satisfaction. She had written Kartik a letter and sent it through Veronica.

Veronica waited outside Kartik’s house for him to arrive. He just cane running and started.

“Hi Veru!! Kia huwa ? Itni jaldo kyu bulaya?” Kartik started.

“Kartik I really don’t have time. Just came here to give you this letter which Naira has given it to me. I have my taxi outside and I have to leave bye!” Veronica concluded.

Kartik bid a goodbye to Veronica and finally opened the letter when she left. Little did he know this was going to be a last smile on his face.

The letter said

To my dear frog prince Kartik,

Life kitni unpredictable hai na. Tum bhi yahi soch rahe hogae keh kal tak jo Naira video calls aur chats se kabhi bore nhi hoti thi wo aaj letter likh rahi hai. Kartik, jab tum yeh letter parh rahe hogaye tab definitely mai apni flight board karchuki hongi. Kartik read it very carefully now. Kartik I have left Udaipur and I am going. I am going forever!! Do not think I ditched you or betrayed you and ran away. Agar yeh sab karna hota tou mai tumhe kabhi nhi batati keh mai jarahi hun. I am helpless Kartik. Agar tumhe apne pyaar par thora sa bhi yaqeen hai tou tum meri baat zaroor samjho gaye keh tumhari Naira kabhi galat decision nhi leti. I had no other choice left Kartik. Agar tum yeh letter parh kar bhi mujhe hate karogaye tou mai apne ap ko kabhi maaf nhi karpaoongi keh mai ne dee gaye choice mai tumhe kyu nhi choona. Kartik no one knows where am I going. Do not come to anyone asking and wasting time upon me. Mai tumhe humari love life ke ek pyaari ending de kar jaana chahti hun. Mai tumhe move on karne par force nhi karoongi kyu keh mai khud bhi apni pyaari ke bohat saari yaadein le kar jarahi hun. Yeh Naira humesha tumhari thi aur hamesha tumhari hee rahe gee. Agar mai majboor na hoti tou tumhe sab kuch zaroor batati. Apna khayal rakhna. Excel in life because you are born to excel. With lots and lots of love.

After reading this letter Kartik ran towards his room. He cried and cried. His family was tensed but he did not tell it to anybody and this was the last time somebody had seen the old Kartik Goenka because the person that woke up the next day was completely different.
