ReCap: Ragini’s Birthday
Ragini walked towards her room, to find Laksh. She was very happy….She never expected HER family to join the party. This was the best birthday in her life….Everything was perfect…..Nothing more could have made this birthday better. She felt that she was the most blessed person in the world…to get the best family….best parents….best friend and brother…. And….THE Best Husband.
She stood at the doors of her room. Laksh was standing with his back towards her, looking at her pictures with her sisters ,hung on the wall. Ragini felt a breeze , on seeing Laksh looking at her life…her photos….

“ Laksh” Ragini called out and walked into her room…. Laksh saw her , smiled warmly “ Where did Aarti and Pinky go?? …. I thought you were with them ..” Ragini asked
“ They ditched me …as soon as the dance party started….and left me alone…” Laksh made a sad face….. “ Did you come here to get Pinky and Aarti ??” Laksh asked making in an upset tone
“Ohh… No , No…. I came searching for you……you went missing from the party” Laksh’s smile appeared and gradually turned brighter… “Maa said that you have my Mangalsutra…..” Ragini gave him a ‘give it to me look’.

“Ya…. I have it with me…. Just wait a sec” Laksh checked his pockets and took out his balled fist , inside which Ragini estimated to be her Magalasutra. Ragini extended her hand.
“ Can I make you wear??” Laksh requested. Ragini was slightly taken aback. She nodded as reply….still surprised.
Ragini was standing with her back facing Laksh. She could feel Laksh putting a chain ,which oddly dint feel like her magalsutra. Ragini clutched her dress, feeling ticklish partly due to the chain and partly due to Laksh’s fingers which moved swiftly on her skin Laksh tied the chain and turned her to face him.

“Happy Birthday Ragoo” Laksh’s said his best tone ever . Ragini shied and looked down. She noticed that her Magalsutra was not her Mangalsutra. It was a different chain. A rope chain with a locket….It was a beautiful and simple locket. Ragini held the chain by it locket (Please imagine the best Locket for yourself… I am not writing down my imagination).”
Laksh…….. This is not my mangalsutra…” Ragini said… bit confused.

“ No Ragini…. From today…. This is your Mangalsutra…” Laksh smiled …making Ragini fall for him again… ”This is Thaali”… Now Things were getting clear for Ragini… She forgot her breath… It seemed like a dream… No …..she was sure that this was her dream…..She stood clutching her locket
“ In Maheshwari family… There is a tradition…where husbands give their wives with chains of their choice… which is to be treated as Magalsutra……. “ Laksh softly plucked the locket from Ragini’s hand and slightly adjusted around her neck . “ The husband gives to his wife personally…Nobody else have a role in it…. He should be the first one to make her aware of the thaali.” Ragini lifted her head ,exposing her moist eyes. “This Thaali is the symbol of a Husband’s Trust in his wife……and his Love for her…” Laksh looked straight into Ragini’s eyes….and dived in it
“It is beautiful” Ragini managed with her cracking tone……Laksh’s face exposed the pride of his choice…. He picked the locket and showed a small inscription “LOL” on the locket.

“ I kept my name short……. I dint want a big name plate to show others …. But a small mark to make you aware that you are mine…..forever..” Laksh’s eyes twinkled ….His words was passing electricity through Ragini’s veins ,draining her energy .She was smiling ….like insane…..tears were blocking her vision….fireworks in her heart….But she couldn’t speak a word….She couldn’t call the emotion which she was feeling at the moment as Happiness….. that was a way too small word….a weak word incapable of holding her strong and robust feelings

Laksh was smiling …held out his hand….to his life….Ragini took it …without thinking twice….She held his hand so tight that she will not have to leave it….Laksh’s eyes were teary… with happiness … He pulled her into a warm embrace…..both of them melted into each other…when their hearts were busy being one….

Her stupid jeth by ten minutes had to come at the very moment….when she and her love was lost in each other’s eyes
“Lucky……Ragini….” It was the first time , when Ragini felt that Sanky was a total nuisance…..than a solace….

“ Arrey yaar you guys……. I have been searching for you people since when……” Sanky complained.
“what do you want Sanskaar……??” Laksh asked in a disinterested voice “Go away”
“Oh hello….I dint come for you hero…. I came for my Ragoo Rani…” Sanky pulled Ragini towards him… “ I had a gift for her”. Sanskaar turned to Ragini…who was not fully happy with his intervention.
“Baby ….Happy Birthday” Sanky handed her the gift….Ragoo took it happily…..and unwrapped it… No gift that day would have mattered to her more than Laksh’s ….but this one was also… surprising….A Ghungroo…. Ragini looked at Sanskaar with surprise.
“ Maa used to tell that you were an awesome dancer” Sanky smiled….
“ This is too good” Ragini felt the bells of her Ghungroo…..

“ Oh My God Ragooo…..You have got an awesome gift …….” Sanky said pointing her Thaali….” Ragini was too happy on the mention of her Thaali…She smiled a hugged Sanky….Sanky laughed out loud in happiness….
“This is not fair……Why am I the only one out??” Lucky came into their hug and made it a group hug…………

The Maheswaris had to leave early in the morning…… Ragini bid goodbyes to her sisters and Badi Maa…with a happy heart… this time…. Ragini, Sujatha Maa and Ram Papa sat at the back when Sanky became the driver for their SUV. Maa and Papa slept as soon as the car took road. Ragini sat right back of Laksh’s seat… Laksh adjusted the rear view mirror to get the glimpses of her face. Ragini shied , on meeting Laksh’s glances through the mirror.

“ Lucky….”Sanskaar called softly… “ That mirror is for the driver…. To see the objects coming from that side…. Not for the passenger….” Laksh got embarrassed ,while Ragini giggled.
Sanskaar stopped the car at halfway for refreshments. Maa and Papa was gloating over Laksh for giving Ragini the Thaali. Ragini and Sanskaar were having their tea on other corner….
“So tell me Ragoo….How did Lucky say ‘I Love You’ to you??” Sanky wanted to quench his curiosity
“He dint tell ‘ I Love You’” Ragini sipped her tea

“WHAT???….. So you guys ,still not ready??” Sanky was confused
“ No yaar…. We have moved on our life…. We both love each other and will love each other…..” Ragini said
“ And yet …he dint say ‘ I love you’?” Sanky asked
“No”
“ And You??”
“No”
“ But why??…. How will you know that he loves you???” Sanky’s head was spinning
“ I know……..” Ragini smiled
