Ep – 9
It was a pleasant evening in the Oberoi mansion… All gathered in thehall chit-chatting. Tej and Sakti was not there also Svetlana was plotting something in her room. Priyanka were excited about the ladies night and was talking about it to her mom and choti maa… Lavitra came to the hall and sat next to Pinky… she was looking on her phone and reading something. The frown was on her face and she looked stressed. Without knowing what she was doing she placed her head on Pinky’s shoulder. A smile appeared on Pinky’s face and happy tears filled her eyes. Om was concerned to to see that.
‘If a simple act like that can impact choti maa and make her happy, then Lavitra’s real face would kill her inside. Before things go out of the hands, I should look into this and inform Shivaay and Rudra.’ Om thought to himself.
Barun entered the Oberoi mansion to report an important progress to Lavitra. He came to the hall and his eyes fell on over excited Priyanka who was going non-stop and blabbering about some ladies night…
Barun thought, ‘In college don’t say a word and in house don’t close your mouth… never knew you are such a ‘bullet train’ in your comfortable space!’

Barun adjusted his throat to get attention and everyone looked at him except Lavitra. Soumya ran towards him and gave a tight hug… Rudra didn’t like that and Priyanka stopped talking and looked at how Soumya and Barun was close which she was not aware of before…
Soumya: I am glad you came back alive and in one piece…
Lavitra: I would be surprised if anything happens to him only Soumya…
She was still looking at her phone and her head was on Pinky’s shoulder…
Soumya: but he went regarding that Kali Takur… he was scary when we met in hospital and the way he threatened was pretty brutal… that is why!
SOumya justified it…
Om, Shivaay shared an worried look at each other.
Chulbul who came with chai and snacks for everyone stood there frozen.
Barun: Don’t worry Soumya! I can handle it… You look stressed Lavy! Any progress from your part!
For the first time, she looked at him and sat straight. Pinky looked little sad…
Lavy: Her husband is not in touch with her in any ways. We can exclude him in our suspect list. If that is of any use then we can consider it as a progress. What about you!
Barun: 100% success and did some extra work for Gauri Kumari Sharma… Are you up for a video…
Chulbul froze and Om was shocked more… Om tried to hide it from Shivaay but Shivaay was not looking at Om to understand it…
Lavitra looked at Om in his eye and nod her head…

Barun connected his phone to the television and the video start by Barun slapping a 48 years old man and it continued for a bit. It was on an open ground and people were just watching. And then a woman came crying and said she will say all the truth if Barun leaves her husband…
Lady: Gauri was innocent. She didn’t stole money from Kaliu Takur. She didn’t tried to seduce him. It was Kali Takur who was in love with her. That is the truth…
Barun gave another kick to her husband and the women cursed him calling monster…
Barun: tell all the truth or I will kill him… it would be the painful death and I will make you watch it…
Lady: We sold gauri to Kali Takur for 50 lakhs. We threatened to hurt her mother and that was why she went with her Kali Takur. But she was saved by that new guy. She left the town with him. Gauri’s mother fell sick and Gauri and her husband sent money for her treatment. I took the money from her and threw Gauri’s mother out. She left to Mumbai. Gauri’s didn’t steal any money and ran away. I lied to everyone saying that like daughter the mother did.
The video then shifted to Kali Takur’s house which was destroyed by Barun’s men and the villagers helped for it.
The video ended.

Chulbul hide his tears and stood silently to know the rest of truth and her mother’s whereabouts. She thanked Shankarji for keeping her mother safe and let Omkaraji to find her truth…
Omkara Singh Oberoi felt guilty for all the words you called that innocent girl. He felt his world was shattered and he was drowning in the self-blame.
Lavitra: who are they?
Barun was sitting on the floor near Lavitra whereas she was sitting in the sofa. His head was on her lap.
Barun: Gauri’s mama and mami with whom she and her mother lived.
Lavitra: selling theirown blood for money… how cheap that was…
Barun: Not their blood… Gauri was adopted…
Lavitra: What do you mean?
Barun: Yeah… after all this, the villagers told me that Gauri was adopted into Sharma family. Her adopted father died when she was in 5th grade. Her mami and mama moved into the house after that. They stopped her education and made her to work. Gauri accepted all that because her mother was sick and the protection from the mama was needed. She never told her maa about the abuse as her mother would be worried about it.
Lavitra: I see myself in her. Loving a mother even after knowing she was not a real mother and willing to do anything for her. Now I understand her better. When a girl was willing to ruin her life and die for her mother, I am not surprised she was ready to marry that old man Kali Takur…
Barun: It was not only Kali Takur. When she was in Kali Takur’s clutch, she somehow got a phone and called her friends who are the kids she teach dance. *Om remembered the phone scene* They kind of rescued her mother from her mami’s clutch and one kid went to kali Takur’s house. He said he was Gauri’s brother and wants to attend the wedding. Without anyone’s knowledge, the kid gave her some wood which would created immense smoke. Then the most unexpected thing happened. The three Takur brother’s have the weird, cheap habit of sharing everything… so Kali Takur asked his other two brothers to step on the mandap as groom. Gauri cried and plead to him… she got slapped by Kali Takur… When the pheras started she dropped the wood on the fire and ran away. The kids helped her to get boarded in the train to Mumbai. Mysteriously she was caught again. Blamed for Jaanvy Takur’s death and fake blame of theft was put on Gauri and she was thrown stones by villagers. With the help of her mother and kids she ran away. That was when she got married to the… you know who her husband is Lavitra! Gauri told her mother that her husband was waiting for her in railway station whereas he left in car to Mumbai before her. She went to Mumbai alone. No-body knows about this. That is why Gauri’s mother thinks that she was with her husband. So that was all I did…

Dadi: hey bhagwaan… please save the girl… bechara…
Jaanvy: she is so strong, I guess mummyji!
Lavitra was silent and her eyes slyly moved towards Omkara who was clutching his fist. There was a guilt in his face. It was clear that he was disgusted of himself. He was helplessly looking at Lavitra… she smirked at that…
Soumya: So what next Lavy di…
Lavy: I think me using the opportunity to become friends with Gauri’s husband will help in finding what happens and why she was not with him soon… nothing is powerful than guilt tripping!
Chulbul gasped realising that Lavitra entered Oberoi mansion to know the Omkara’s secret only and it is for her. She was overwhelmed by the care that Lavitra have for her and her mother. For that she was not even showing care for her real family…
Soumya: Also Lavy di, I went to your house today! Gauri’s mother was not well. She started to cough again badly. She thinks she is being a burden to you and not telling you anything.
Barun: I know that. I came to Mumbai two hours back and saw her being sick. Already took her to hospital. She is under medication now. I am not going to do any out of station work for the next couple of days. So I will take care of her.
Lavy: Till we find Gauri, we can’t leave her unattended. Either you or me should be with her. Also Kali Takur and her brothers would get bail tomorrow. Just now I got the information from the commissioner.
Chulbul was scared and Omkara was determined to help LAvitra in that.
Soumya: What are all the cases filed on them Barun?
Barun: Attempt murder and kidnap of Gauri’s mother, threatening Lavitra and me and 10 kg of drugs and unlicensed weapons were found on his car.
Soumya: If a person can get out of all this within 3 days means he was highly influential. I am scared for you both!
Lavitra: Don’t be… we can take care of ourselves! Barun, increase house security… Tomorrow just focus on enhancing security for Gauri’s mother. I will focus on Gauri.
Barun nod his head and left after giving a kiss on Lavitra’s forehead and a hug to Soumya.
Before leaving he turned and saw Priyanka. She was shocked to get all the truth of what happened to an innocent girl… he muttered ‘cute and innocent’ under his breath before leaving.
Pinky: Why are you risking your life for someone you don’t even know?
Lavy: I was almost in Gauri’s place when my mother died. Someone helped me then… now I am returning it to a mother who was seeking for her daughter.
Shivaay: Still you don’t have to do it di. Risking yourself is not needed. There are ngo’s to help destitute women. Why don’t you approach them and stay out of danger di! I don’t appreciate our family being in danger. I have seen Kali Takur and I know him. I will not risk my family.
Lavy: I keep my words SHivaay and I am also not fond of my family being threatened or harmed. Gauri and her mother are my family the minute I took Gauri’s mother into my house. I will not let anyone harm my family either.
Dadi: In that case bring Gauri’s mother here and we can take care of her. If you consider her as a family then she is our family too…
Lavy: ‘Don’t forget that I am not Oberoi to say yes to every single word of yours, I am a Jha!’
Priyanka: di! Will you be able to save her!
Lavy: I hope so…
With that she left the hall…
Omkara also left after few minutes to his room saying a he have headache.

Omkara entered his room only to find Lavitra sitting there. Waiting for him.
Om told her all the truth and how he misinterpreted Gauri. How he left her. He felt bad and guilty.
“I understand your situation and point. But What you did to a girl was not fair! As you are willing to help me in finding her, I will approach you if I need any other help.”
With that she left his room leaving Om to drown in his thinking.
